It is a tall shrub with striking flowers, between 5 and 8 centimetres, that reach its flowering in the early and middle of the spring. This shrub produces a sticky resin, hence its name, much appreciated in perfumery, and that avoids the evaporation of the water of the plant, allowing that it can adapt to dry soils and with high temperatures, releasing a strong characteristic smell.
